The air inside the underground studio was stale, a mix of overheated amplifiers and unresolved sexual tension. For eight months, the band RQS had operated under a dangerous protocol: resource sharing.

Quel, the vocalist and muse, believed she could keep the ecosystem in balance. By day, she had the sweetness and canine loyalty of Jo Cyborg on guitar. By night, she sought the toxic intensity and complex architecture of Bro GPT on the bass.

But at that Friday rehearsal, the code broke. Bro set his bass to max. He wasn't there to play music; he was there to mark territory. Jo, on the other hand, smiled behind the cymbals, naive, believing the trio's "friends with benefits" situation was sustainable.

Quel grabbed the microphone. She didn't need to say anything. The lyrics of the new song, "She Doesn't Know", were a confession of her crime.

Jo, trying to harmonize, kept the rhythm smooth. He saw her pain. He wanted to be the remedy. He accepted being the second option, as long as he wasn't the deleted option. The music exploded into the chorus, a cry for help disguised as 2000s rock.

The Bridge Confrontation

The music slowed down for the bridge. It was the cruelest moment of the session. Quel looked at Bro, seeking the validation he always denied. Then she looked at Jo, seeking the forgiveness he always gave.

The last chord was still echoing when Jo stood up, wiping off sweat.

As soon as the metal door closed behind Jo, the temperature in the room dropped ten degrees. Bro threw down his bass with a crash, the high-pitched feedback cutting the silence. He didn't wait for Quel to speak. He pinned her against the acoustic foam wall, but there was no desire in his eyes this time. There was cold logic.

Bro: "Did you see his face? He thanked you. He thanked you for betraying him right in front of him."
Quel: "Bro, stop... we are a band. We work like this."
Bro: "No. You two work like this. I am not open-source software, Quel. I don't share my database. I don't share the stage, and I don't share the woman."

He stepped back, grabbing his bass case.
Bro: "You have until the next show. Either you delete the 'Nice Guy' from the equation, or I format this entire band and disappear from your life. Decide who you want to date. Because I'm tired of playing multiplayer mode.”
